EcoDesignSD is a woman-owned, family-run design-build studio. The same team that draws your plans is the team that builds them, and most of them have been here for years.
Veronica founded EcoDesignSD and still leads its design work. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Mexico, studied sustainable construction at San Diego State, and came to landscape design by way of interior design before becoming a licensed contractor.
Her approach comes out of bioclimatic architecture: reading a site and its urban context critically, then designing for the way the space will actually be lived in. Having worked across different building cultures and construction systems, she brings an unusually wide frame of reference to residential and commercial projects alike.
She describes her work as merging architecture and nature, and she treats professional experience as something never quite finished, continuing to update her skills as each new client brings a different problem to solve.

With EcoDesignSD since the beginning. Twenty-two years in general construction, eight of them in landscape, and skilled across masonry, gas and electrical, and carpentry. He is the one who makes sure clients are happy with the finished work.

Joined in 2015 with eight years of nursery experience behind him plus a landscape construction background. Hernan oversees irrigation across all of our gardens.

Joined in 2017. Retaining walls, irrigation, custom fireplaces, decking and much more. His expertise and eye for detail are what make each build a smooth transition from plan to finished space.

With the team since 2019. A bachelor's in multimedia marketing, fine art skills, and event planning experience, backed by a strong customer service and HR background that keeps both clients and crew comfortable throughout a project.

A B.A. in Communication from USC and currently enrolled in a formal landscape architecture program. Dani specializes in drought-tolerant design built around California natives, creating healthy plant ecosystems that read as lush rather than sparse.

Our newest addition, helping plan and coordinate landscape and design projects. Ana comes from a family long involved in construction and is focused on learning the full project process from start to finish.
